Recent article in AOPA magazine reminding pilots to file an ASRP (forms on the Internet....I keep one in the plane) if you think you have violated an FAR. This provides you with immunity and provides the FAA with anonymous information that may improve the system.
THE EXCEPTIONS to this:
If the incident was "not inadvertent and not deliberate" the immunity will not be granted. If the incident involves an accident or criminal offense, immunity will not be granted and your anonymity won't be honored. If you have been involved in and FAA enforcement that found you in violation of the FAR's in past 5 years.
