A heartfelt thank you to all you Veterans out there. Note: My Dad was quite old to be a first time father. He was a WWI Vet, serving in France. He was born in 1888 so he was fairly old to be going to war, but he thought it was the thing to do. His lungs were damaged in the war and he was a cigarette smoker, so he didn't live long enough for me to get to know him. The little I do remember is of a gentle, kind, considerate man who was very surprised but delighted to father his first and only child at age 60.
Today I am thinking of him and of all vets, those living as well as those no longer with us. Again, thank you. Spook
