Marty, there was an Ercoupe that had retractable gear. Several years ago someone posted a photo of it on this forum. John might have it in some of his old emails. I deleted it or else lost it in one of my hard drive crashes. Lee

My friend couldn’t remember the guy’s name who did this, but it would be interesting to see what he used, cable, rope, etc. I’m certain it would be an illegal mod, but certainly got my curiosity going. With all the talk of nose gear fairings, and the not too useful wheel pants, this would probably work in practice. Has anyone heard of this before here on the list?
