Hello all, Just want to say Thanks for the responses to my question regarding fuel tank repair. I did contact John Wright JR., very nice guy. I have since removed the LH wing tank and am shipping to John. It was great to see nice clean metal in the fuselage and spar areas uncovered by the tank removal. Prior to packaging the tank, I flushed it with hot water for several hours. I was surprised to see how much sealing/sloshing material ended up on the shop floor after this flushing. Even though this tank was pulled due to a specific leak on a welded seam, I am already feeling beter knowing this tank will come back with a sanitary inside, now I am agonizing over pulling the other wing tank. I think that after I get the LH tank back and I see that John does as nice a job as many have said, I will be repeating the process.
