building. These headsets were working fine when last in an aircraft and when I
tested them a moment ago. Flightcom 4DX headset.
Ventilated headband, noise canceling Electret microphone, combined foam
& liquid ear seals. Hi-Fi good for music while you fly (may be stereo and
has stereo plug but I couldn’t get obviously stereo sound), mic muff, 24dB
passive noise reduction. Excellent
shape but a few cosmetic flaws.
Only used about a dozen times.
$70 (new on the web at
$110-115) Telex EBM-1410 headset.
Electret mic, 21 dB passive noise reduction. This is an older model but I sent it in to Telex for flat
rate repair (about $70) three years ago and it came back working
perfectly. $60 Flightcom 2-place intercom III with input jacks for aux stereo in and
SR-4 module (to make it a 4-place -- $28 on the web), 12v DC input, Co-pilot
xmit jack, pilot isolate switch.
Has switches for digital clearance recording but that’s not installed
though it can be upgraded.
Excellent intercom. $80 (new
