Bill, Your problem with uneven fuel distribution may be caused by having two different wing fuel tank caps. BOTH wing tank caps must be identical. If one cap is the stock Ercoupe cap and the other is a Rain Pruf type with the fuel level gauge the different size vents will pressurize one of the wing tanks forcing the fuel to the other tank and then it will syphon overboard.
