I just copied the AD's off the FAA internet sight and you are correct the belly skin AD only applies to the real early 415. I don't remember which number is the cut off at this time but I know it does not apply to mine which is S/N 2744.

Hi Greg, near as I can recall, the belly skin reinforcement does not apply to all Coupes. If it is the "T" shaped piece it applies to earlier model Coupes, the drain holes in the belly are, I believe, mandatory on all Coupes and a good thing as well. Check your service memorandum manual you have from Skyport and it should outline the issues for you. I do not have a copy here at work so cannot sheck myself, I also had to get help on this one when I was checking my AD's, Pete

The IA working on N99387 is claiming that not only does AD-2202-26-02
make SB31 mandatory, it makes two other SB's mandatory because
SB31 refers to them.

Those are SB18, belly skin reinforcement and SB109, installation of
drain holes in the belly.

The AD mentions only the inspection actions, but the IA is digging
in his heels, claiming that the inspection...'In accordance with the
Procedures Section of Univari Aircraft SB No. 31...'" means that
you have to do the other two SB's because the first refers to it as
part of the procedure.

Any insights?

Is this reality or just 'make work?'
