Hi Ralph; If you have that "Micky Mouse" service manual, please tell
your
mechanic to go to the section on rigging, and start from the beginning by
neutralizing the controls (I use a piece of 1 X 2 about 30 inches long,
clipped
under the control wheels). Then check the rudders ( 49 3/4 inches from
center
of elevator to each rudder trailing edge) and the control mast (make sure
long
arms [center of attaching bolt] are same distance from the opposite rear
attach bolt on the control mast to the airframe. If they are centered
properly (I
rarely find them that way), then check the ailerons, first against the
trailing edge of the wing, and then by the distance from the front face of
the rear
spar (center of outboard bearing bolt hole should be 7 11/16 inches from
the
rear spar).
You can certianly go through all of the steps in the service
manual,
but I have found if you do the above items, then set the nose wheel so the

Coupe tracks straight with the wheels centered, you will have a pretty
good flying
airplane.
All the steps are given in pretty good detail in the service manual

which you apparently already have. I have found that to do a complete
re-rig
takes about a full days work, assuming that no repairs are made.
Good Luck
Lynn Nelsen
