I'm in luck- we have a 5/16-18 kit here at work. Good tip on keeping it straight- any way to ensure this without removing the jug?

Hi Stan:
I did some checking and I do have a 5/16--18 helicoil set. If you decide you
need this rather than an oversize stud I'll loan you the kit. The only
difficult thing about a helicoil is that you have to drill the hole true or
the exhaust might not fit. They make a jig for this for some of the larger
Continental engines to insure that the stud is centered and straight.
