A question about corrosion protection of metal covered wings.

My wings are fairly late models...1960...and have
been in dry alberta for their entire life. They are
clean of any serious corrosion and I would like to
keep them that way. I do spray with the usual sprays
on an annual basis, but I was wondering if anyone has any tricks for more serious protection.

An old mechanic once told me that they used to take
a piece of long tubing, drilled with holes and use it
to spray zinx chromate inside the wings. Sounds
a little difficult.
