Bob, I have a 65 Alon and someone, years ago,
reversed the vent to the rear rather than the front. As such, my tanks are
not pressurized but they also do not leak unless I really climb out at an
extreme angle of attack.
I wouldn't suggest this modification but, I also
have no plans to revent my caps forward. The old saying, don't fix what
isn't broken" is applicable in my case anyway.
