Thanks everyone for the window ideas. They all look viable. I am going to put up some kind of headliner and may take the windows out in the process. As long as they are out I may as well put in new ones. I cut new windows on a bandsaw using the old window as a pattern. Smothed/rounded the edges with a hand held orbital sander. The used Mortite (a clay like material sold for weather stripping) to seal. I put one or two ropes of mortite and smothed it down with a walpaper sealer roller. After mounting the window (do not tightent he screws too much - better to tighten/wait/retighten to avoid cracking the window) I cleaned the excess that squezed out with a plastic putty knife from home depot. I replaced windows about 15 yeas ago but I don't remember what I used as a seal. This is for the original size rear windows with screws.
