I am about to order parts to rebuild my nose
gear.
(o-rings, snap-rings,bolts,shock rubber, and
bushings)
I was wondering how much play is acceptable in the
nose gear scissors. The two bushings at the apex of
the scissors were easy to remove. The bushings
at the other ends of the scissors seem more
difficult.
I am planning to take them into a machine shop for
help.
But the bushings in the steering collar look
positively
evil to remove. I am wondering if I should just
leave well enough alone with them.
Any thoughts or advice on removing the bushings
would be appreciated.
