Table six in the Continental Overhaul Manual calls 540 degrees F the maximum cylinder head temperature for a C85. Temperatures for climb and cruise are not stipulated. For those temperatures, you must take into account that every aircraft is a little different considering the condition of cooling baffles, age of the engine, pilot technique, etc.
