Why is this trap bent into the overflow line? What purpose does it serve? I would appear that it creates considerable resistance in the fuel trying to enter the overflow line and return to the wing tank. Also, I can imagine that over the years it may have become partially clogged with sediment and whatever. Tomorrow I will remove the line and clean it out completely. Hopefully it will then permit a better return of the overflow fuel. However, any thoughts on this or experiences with it are appreciated.
