The clamp looks like a fabrication out of a hose clamp and some other pieces. Looks like it would do the same thing as the real clamp, which is a simple clamp with a pin fitted. For a while, the Ercoupe part was 'out of stock.' When it came back it was very expensive. What seems like the same thing is sold as a J3 cub part, at 1/3 the cost. Go figure.
