Scott. Running the engine without oil for a minute is not doing much harm to the engine. I think when you find the cause for your sudden oil pressure loss, you'll see what you are up to. Have your mechanic take the rear case off or whatever is needed to find out what's going on and you'll see. May be you are lucky. Of course that is if you are on a tight budget. Otherwise buy a overhauled engine and sell yours on ebay. They still fetch around 5k, even with lost oil pressure.
