While ADF stations are beingdecommissioned, it is still a great exercize to utilize the ADF system....
True, however other than the static, there is little difference between the exercise of
homing to or taking a bearing off of an NDB or any point in space using strictly the
GPS bearing readout, and using an ADF.
Just program your GPS display not to show you your track on a home-in, and you
can make the same big question-marks on a windy day that you could with the ol'
ADF!
