Ralph, When the original message list was split it was partly because some people wanted a tech-only list with no off-topic messages at all. Many people wanted to keep the looser, more free format we had up till that point. To accommodate the serious tech-only (and good tech-only at that) group, Tom Laird-McConnell, our list sponsor, split the list. I fully respect and agree to the preferences of those who are only on the tech list. I posted the original message to the Flyin forum - deliberately. That is where off topic messages belong. If someone accidentally posted a response to the tech, please accept all our apologies. (Though Ralph, by my archive copies, YOU are the first to post anything on this subject to the tech list. You can confirm that by looking back at the message subject line where it says [COUPERS-FLYIN] or [COUPE-TECH].) Let's take any further discussions to direct e-mail or to the Flyin list. Please, everyone, post NOTHING further on this subject line on the tech list. This doesn't belong on any Ercoupe list, let alone the technical list.
