I forgot to mention. The reason I discovered the wrong voltage regulator was I was having trouble starting my coupe, it turned over very slowly. I spent a lot of time troubleshooting the charging system since the abttery was only two yeras old. Turns out the battery needed replacing. Aircraft batteries do not have a long life. Before spending $100's upgrading to an alternator you may want to replace the battery. A G35 will fit in the space of the old 25 amp and give you more starting current. I haven't studied the system much, but I notice that the generator isn't very effective at charging the battery at low engine speeds. Is there an alternator available? Is there a solid-state product to assist in charging at low speeds? Is this problem more complicated than it looks? > > > > Wes Sherman > > ========================================================================== ==== > > To leave this forum go to: http://ercoupers.com/lists.htm > > Search the archives on http://escribe.com/aviation/coupers-tech/ > > > > > > > > > > > ========================================================================== ==== > To leave this forum go to: http://ercoupers.com/lists.htm > Search the archives on http://escribe.com/aviation/coupers-tech/ > > > > ========================================================================== ==== To leave this forum go to: http://ercoupers.com/lists.htm Search the archives on http://escribe.com/aviation/coupers-tech/
