See Parts Catalog, p. 26, Fig. 19 (No. 36) and description p. 27, No. 19-36. I highly recommend siphoning out the back of all fuel tanks at least annually to remove any such loose crud (and undrainable water) as may have accumulated. A five gallon bucket, 1/2" clear tubing, and about a foot of 1/2" brass tubing (for weight and rigidity) works for me. Such a regimen greatly reduces junk found when inspecting and cleaning finger strainers.
