Hi All..

This is all very interesting information and it has me a bit worried. I run a Sensenich M76AK-2 prop. I just got off the phone with the overhaul people who told me that the reconditioning work order calls this prop as 73" long by 48 " pitch.

I just read Ed Burkheads posting that  "I would note that some other propellers are approved for the Coupe up to 74 inches long." Is this the case with my prop.

Or as John Cooper states, "If it is greater than 71", get it cut down ASAP.  (read
"before further flight) The length limit is for vibration reasons.  Bad
vibrations can result in bad things, like broken crankshafts..."

Where would I find out if this is one of the other type of props I can on my C 85-12 F ( again this was an upgraded C-75-totally overhauled and assembled by a reputable engine technician.

Oh, sorry guys.Duh I just answered my own question. I looked up the Type Certificate Data Sheet No A-787 Rev 31 ( I found and keep a copy in the Maintenance Log just incase I ramp checked as Owner Maintenance) and on Page 6 Under Props and Accs it lists the limits for the Sensinich Props..."not over 74 inches and not under 72 inches.

Any bodys' thought on how this prop would/should work.

Sorry for the post. It might help others though.

Cheers
