Hi Folks - Does anyone know if rudder pedal conversion kits are still available from any commercial source? I know, I know, who would want to do that? Well, I've got a couple of reasons. First, when we had our Coupe 5 years ago, one of the biggest and most goofy fears I had was controlling the glide and touchdown spot in the case of a real life forced landing. With no flaps, and no ability to slip, you've got to admit that glide angle isn't as finely controllable as it is in a conventional airplane. I'm spoiled, being an active glider pilot. In gliders, I can put it anywhere I want, within 30 feet of a spot. I'd like that same capability in an airplane. We may use an Ercoupe in our flight school for sport pilot training. If it has rudder pedals, you avoid that whole issue about flight tests in a two control plane. Lastly, if anyone knows of a really nice, and I mean nice, Coupe for sale that meets LSA (415 C or CD) please let me know. I'd want fabric wings, and prefer pedals.
