I use the Lightspeed 20-3G and when I switch on the ANR-they work great! However, I did have to get the "high profile" ear cups for a tighter fit. Also, I have an Alon-due to the canopy design I have a bit more space between my headset and the canopy. Maybe the guys with Ercoupes do have a better option for that particular Coupe. Good luck.

I have been using a DRE-6000 for many years. The work very well and run less then 300 bucks.

I have used both Dave Clark H10-13.8 and Flightcom
Denali passive headsets. Both worked very well.
For open cockpit flying, both have had added to them
one of the Oregon Aero mic muffs which takes care
of any issues related to air impacting the mics. I use
the ones which have a foam pad covered by a vinyl
'sock' with holes in it.

I've flown open-cockpit in a coupe with an older LightSpeed
ANR headset, and it was fine.

I attempted to use a Lightspeed 30-3G, and it flew off into
a loud roar, possibly due to inferior electronics or possibly
due to inferior seals on the ear-cups. Either way, I don't
recommend it. Also, for some the large size will interfere
with closed-cockpit flying due to the inward curve of the
windows.
