I have never seen an Alon hand brake between the seats! I have only seen the T-bar brake over the rudder pedals (Way over the rudder pedals!) My Alon has a parking brake set knob on the left side of the instrument panel. You have to step on the t-bar, and pull the knob to set the parking brake. You also have to step on the t-bar and push in the knob to release it.
