If the hail actually punched holes in the fabric, maybe you should have an
A/P
do a punch test on your fabric.  You may find it needs replacing.  If the
fabric is still good and your paint is dope, then it is an easy repair.
Basically you soften the old dope with thinner, put a proper patch in
place and
coat it with dope. Go by factory recomendations on time intervals and put
at
least two more coats on then the final color.  If you have a modern paint
on
the fabric, you'll have to remove it without damaging the fabric, no
sanding,
it will damage the fell of the fabric.  Clean the spot and glue the patch
in
place. Paint as before.

Please check the fabric with the punch test. You really must determine
it's
condition. Even if the cover is one of those "perminent" covers - glass -
that
doesn't require testing, they can go bad. I REALLY don't think the hail
should
have gone through, and you don't want the fabric to tear in flight..
