Almost all structural rivets are what's called "AD" rivets, probably what 
they are calling "hard" rivets.  (hard is relative, there are "DD" rivets 
which are really hard...).  They're made of 2117-T4 alloy.  "Soft" 
rivets,called "A" rivets are used for things like attaching the window 
frames to the plexiglas.  They are made of 1100 Aluminum.

Your parts supplier should be able to answer those questions... (;~)
