Thanks to all who responded to my questions about fuel
burn. My POH was 20 miles away in the plane and I did
not take the time to retrieve it before sending in my
questions. Yesterday I was at the hangar and checked
my exhaust pipes and found a darkish gray soot in the
ends. I guess this is the color that it should be. I
was not complaining about the low fuel usage. I am
pretty happy about the economy but after bragging
about it to this IA, he got me worried. This is why I
sent the questions to you guys. As I noted in a
previous email, I sunk a lot of money into this engine
and am hoping that it lasts a long,long time. Again
