Hey Allen: My answer to your question is "It Depends". It depends on whether or not your original windshield has been modified.
If it has not, you have the original straight windshield, and there is (or should be) a small panel at the top center of the rear window track. Remove this panel and pull the window webbing out of the way to allow the side window to come out of the track. First pull one window out and then the other.
If it has been modified with the bubble windshield, you must remove the metal strap over the rear of the windshield that holds the windshield in place. You will find a small opening at the top of the front window track. Pull the webbing out of the way and pull the side windows out by way of this opening.
Some cautions, if you are replacing the window welts, make sure that you DO NOT put the felt strip on the inside of the window welt (the side the windows slide in). The felt goes against the track to help keep the windows tight. The windows slide in the webbing only. Also, do not cut the webbing to install the windows, just pull it out of place in order to get the new window started in to the track. You pull (not push) the window in to place the same way you took the old ones out. ( but reverse the process)
It is not necessary to remove the side panels to replace the welts, but you will need something flexible (like an old wooden yardstick) that you can tack the welt to in order to push it down into place in the metal track.
