I would suggest not flying your ship until you discover why your header
tank
is depleting.

The header tank only receives fuel two ways: fuel pumped up to it by the
fuel pump. or fuel poured into it on the ground through its cap. It
literally cannot get fuel any other way.

If your header tank is depleting but your wing tanks appear full, look for
a
stoppage in the line between your wing tanks and the header tank, or look
for a bad fuel pump. The simplest stoppage in the line is a closed
wing-tank valve, located forward of, and below the passenger's seat.
Cycle
that valve a couple of times first to see whether it's clogged or even
shut
off.

Fly the ship and observe. If that didn't work, then disconnect the fuel
pump outlet, divert it into a container, and crank the engine a few times.

The pump should spurt much fuel into the container. If it doesn't, then
you've isolated the problem. If it spurts a lot of fuel, then you have a
constriction in your fuel line between the pump and the header tank.

If during your researches, you discover ANY white sediment anywhere in the

lines or pump, don't fly the ship until you pull the carb float bowl and
clean it.

Generally speaking, I suggest a serious attempt to locate and remove the
obstruction. It was my experience in the military -- long ago when
dinosaurs roamed the earth -- that failure to insure a fuel supply
adequate
to complete the mission can in some cases reduce the pilot's time at the
Officer's Club that evening.
