Suggestions for two threads ongoing.
First...Oil pressure..
Check the relief valve. I had the same problem
after
my rebuild. The shop did not repair the seat and
the
relief valve stem, which has a microscopic
edge
on it. What happened was that as the engine oil
earmed up the pressure dropped, and it was nothing
to do with the rest of the engine.
The value is supposed to stay closed until
about
30 psi when the oil is cold. Apparently my
engine
guy says the relief valves in the small
continentals
require a lot of guess work and even magic to
get
working right.
On the fuel issue...
I had a series of small blockages in my fuel
lines
after a two year downtime for a rebuild.
One blockage was in the primer nozzle. Another
blockage turned up in an otherwise pristine carb, and the final problem was in
the return line from the fuel pump.
I took the fuel lines off the tank, and inserted a
piece of clear plastic fuel line so I could see what was moving and what was
not.
