Kenneth - I'm with Nuvite - Interesting stuff, Teflon...  However, we view it somewhat at arms length.  Here's why:  real Teflon (DuPont trademark, by the way) adheres to surfaces at very high temperature.   That's why it can be used on cooking utensils.  The temperatures needed to adhere Teflon to paint is 'way beyond the flash point of the paint.  There are lots of folks in the corporate aircraft field who specify a Teflon coating on their planes finish.  Seems like the Teflon might do something for the application process, but probably isn't a real coating on the paint finish when you are done.

There are variations in Teflon-like materials which may be of some effective use.  We have been searching for one that really offers some effective surface coating for over three years while folks were beating us about the ears with Teflon stories.  We are aiming toward announcement and availability of our NuGlaze PFS (Poly Fluoro Sealant) at Oshkosh, however, if we can get a bit of time, somewhere, at Minden, Skip says we might work in a Forum on Nuvite stuff.  I am so late joining up, the schedule was already set - but I'm gonna have a few preproduction samples to show off if something works out.  So we are in testing phase now with our answer to "Teflon" coatings for new -or "new condition" paint to join with our other paint care lineup.

Guys, tell me if I'm "over the line" on this for the Tech site.  I do not mean to get commercial, but I thought it would be information for everybody.
