I am also an EE. I think I recall getting
reverse polarity from my generator one day when I was experimenting with some
diodes. I suspect one could flash the field in the reverse polarity and
make it happen. I haven't checked about the voltage regulator. I
suppose the solenoids don't care about polarity and direction. A
solid-state regulator would care a lot. I am definitely talking
before thinking here, but at first I can't rule out the possibility that one
could reverse the battery polarity, flash the field, and make that circuit work
with a positive ground. If so, then perhaps the fix would be to wire
the battery correctly, then flash the field.
I emphasize that I have spoken before thinking, so
give it a lot thought before acting!

The generator is charging the battery correctly. Like Ed said, I'm going to have to make a list, check it twice and put a plan of attack together to reverse the polarity of all components that need it..........Thanks for everyones help.......againChuck============================================================================== To leave this forum go to: http://ercoupers.com/lists.htm Search the archives on http://escribe.com/aviation/coupers-tech/
