Hi,
We are just about ready to put the Ercoupe in the air but I have hit a
snag. My AME has told me that Transport Canada will not accept the hand
scribed data plate that is on the back section of the aircraft (I guess that
these were put on so that your agencies could get aircraft information without
first getting access to the interior of the aircraft). A couple
owners ago the large baggage compartment was installed and the original data
plate was discarded with the aircraft.
My AME tried to get a new Data plate from Univair
but they need a letter on FAA letterhead before they will issue a new data
plate. I am in Canada so this might be difficult for me to do.
Does anyone have any suggestions.
Thanks again for all the continued support.
