Hey John: I just looked at a rear spar, and there were no extra holes that you mentioned. However, the Coupe wings, when originally covered with Grade A, had the rear edge of the fabric sewn to the rear spar. Those holes, which look to be about 3/32, amounted to 16 on the top and the bottom of the rear spar. If you do not have those holes, I suspect that there has been a repair made some time in the past, which used a piece which had those holes pre-drilled.
    Covering with the Poly Fiber process requires only about 1 inch of glue to bond the fabric to the wing. Thus it is possible to put on the fabric without using the old rib stitches.
    You have not gotten to that part yet.
