Dear Charles,

The Ercoupe, N99535, in the AOPA Magazine is owned by Harry
Chernikoff, an Ercoupe Club member. Harry is an A+P, I.A., CFI, CFII,
EE, etc. He is in the process of annualing this Coupe. He is also a
volunteer at the College Park (MD) Aviation Museum. N99535 is probably
the lowest time Ercoupe in existence, with about 375 TT. It was stored
in a shed for almost 50 years and was totally renovated by the late Jack
Schaller, who exhibited it at the 2000 National Ercoupe Fly-In at
College Park. I have attached a photo of the plane at it's tie down
at Freeway Airport.

By the way, the "guy" in the AOPA picture, Stan Rodenhauser,
has been through a lot, just trying to keep the airport open. The Feds
can now close any air space, any airport at any time, in the name of
"National Security" and there is no reasonable recourse to their action.
That's why I have belonged to AOPA for the past forty years.

Best Wishes, Jack Crabill
