Hi Alan,
Don't know about the electric trim.
You might consider a panel-mounted Vernier or regular push-pull trim. Sensitive, positive, and as fail-safe as the wire itself ;<)
Personally, I leave my trim in "fast cruise position except cross-country when I want a long, steady cruise-climb to altitude and, later, descent to pattern altitude. Of course in emergency, the trim could maintain the most efficient glide speed while one weighs available options!
Regards,
WRB

Has anyone ever installed electric trim in a coupe?/smaller>/fontfamily>
I have the crank on the dashboard that is great for fine tuning the trim on a C model, but takes up panel space that I could probably use more efficiently./smaller>/fontfamily>
An electric trim could be installed under the floorboards or behind the seat under the baggage compartment quite easily./smaller>/fontfamily>
Is there an STC for such a thing?/smaller>/fontfamily>
I am guessing the trim unit of an RV would be great, (and a lot better than an old electric window unit from a junked Pontiac)./smaller>/fontfamily>
I hate the trim on the side wall and the trim on the little throttle console, they are too jerky./smaller>/fontfamily>

And I know that Dennis will have a comment.../smaller>/fontfamily>
