Thanks for the data point, Rich.  This list has debated the figures for some
time and I appreciate you taking the time to actually check it out.

Mr. Weick was indeed ahead of his time.  I still treasure his autobiography.
I bought it and got it signed by all 3 of his kids at the EOC 2000 meeting
in College Park.

I weighed one of the wings before and after recovering, here are the 
results verified by my IA.
Bare wing panel with one coat of epoxy primer was 43 lb..  The same wing 
after covering with Superflite system VI was 53 lb..  Net gain of 10 
lb..  Measured twice with two different scales that were checked with a 
known 45 lb load.  Hard to imagine that a pair of wings that light could 
lift the aircraft.  Fred sure knew what he was doing.
