----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]----
Every week or three, we’re seeing a request for help
in adding an advertisement to the “Ercoupe website.” There
are many “Ercoupe websites,” though. I’d advise that
you concentrate on these two:
http://www.ercoupe.org
the website of the Ercoupe owners club. The advertisements are copies
from the Coupe Capers, the newsletter of the Ercoupe Owners Club (EOC).
To add an ad, you need to send it to the newsletter editor. It will be
printed in the newsletter and will show up on the web page when that issue is
posted there electronically. It’s not a fast turn-around, but it
does target about 1300 Coupe interested parties.
The last time I was a member, club members could advertise
for free but they asked for $5 to place ads for non-members. To join, visit http://ercoupe.org/SubscriptionForm.htm

The other useful website is Tom Laird-McConnell’s
site. Tom hosts our e-mail lists as well. He has a
“Wiki” page on which he allows YOU to post advertisements. To
post an ad on Tom’s For Sale site, do the following:
Visit http://ercoupers.com
Click on the “For Sale” link in the left
column. On this page, you can view existing ads. To post an ad,
follow the instructions at the bottom of the center, white section.
If you want to format your ad with some fanciness, it can be
useful to read the tutorials. In the right column, there are links for
“If you’re new to Wiki, read OneMinuteWiki
or Visitor Welcome.”
These tutorials tell you enough that you can do boldface, italic and some other
formatting.
On a Wiki page, it can be courteous to visit the ad page to
remove your ad when the sale is made. It also keeps you from receiving
calls after the sale.
Have fun.
