The Belleville springs are quite expensive.  My non-mechanic thought is that it’s better to just replace the rubber donuts once every 3-5 years.

 

You say your tail is two inches down.  But down from where?

 

With the twin fork gear and larger wheel, you may need the tail to be up to 76.5” or 77” for the window sill to be level giving you the correct on-the-ground wing angle of attack.  It’s that level attitude on the ground that dumps lift and lets you handle crosswinds properly.

 

The standard 75” tail height really only applies to planes with the single fork gear.
