I hope this doesn't detract from anyone else's hard work, but I have decided to open a new website devoted to the Ercoupe and later models. http://www.ercoupe.us/ I want to express my sincere appreciation to those who go through all the trouble and effort to keep the mailing lists running! However, I hope the forums on my new site will help resolve some issues that many of us have had... - Duplicate postings I know I am not the only one with two or more copies of some messages. I have checked and unless I have been included via BCC, they are not addressed to me via TO or CC... only via the mailing list mailing list. - File attachments Some 'coupers aren't blessed with high speed access. This means that when a message has an attachment, you often don't have a choice but download it (not true for WebMail users of course). That download can take a good while. The forums provide links to the attachments. - Searching Currently, searching is available via the Ercoupers.com website. This is great, but it occasionally doesn't get all the messages, and you don't have the ability to reply via their site. - Dropped membership Some people find the forums quiet. That results in "test" messages. Sometimes, the mailing list is just slow, but sometimes they find they were dropped from the list. The forum allows for those wanting to "watch" a thread to receive an email (great for seeing if a question you asked was answered). I have high hopes to upload all sorts of stuff I've found in the few months of owning my Ercoupe. I also plan to put up a "where in the world is?" page. Let's see how many 'Coupes we can find... either still flying, in pieces, or unfortunately destroyed. Photos will of course be part of it. Again, many, many, MANY thanks to everyone else that has Ercoupe information up on the 'net.
