Wonderful, Gordon! You are a brand new member and you start off by
complaining! Who needs members like you? Try taking a positive approach to

I am new to coupes, as I have purchased one recently, and trying to get
active again. I now wonder if I made a good decision reading all this
negative response.
However, I saw a segment of John Stossel's TV show a few years ago about
our litigation society. When I started out flying in the 1960's you could by
a new 172 or a Cherokee for $14,000 to $18,000, depending on equipment.
John's segment told that by the 1980's, the first $17.000 of each airplane
was liability insurance.
I joined this site to get more informed about coupes. I am somewhat
disappointed in some of the banter that goes on, although some is very
informiatve. I joined "coupes.us" to find out the only way you can read
anything is if you are already a member of AOPA.
Hope to meet some of you at meets someday.
Gordon Smith
