Thanks for the advice on a prop for my C75->C85->O200STC engine. My
engine was a C75. Central Cylinder is upgrading it to a C85 (carb jet
and dipstick) and I purchased the STC for them to install an O200
Crankshaft and rods. So my engine will have a new crank, new rods,
new pistons, new cylinders, and new bearings. The only thing original
will be the case and cam.
I realize that the STC is only for the C85, but the internals of the
C75 and C85 are identical, so I didn't worry about the semantics so
much. I'll try to be more specific in the future. Also, I am having
my 7351 prop cut and repitched to a 7150.
While the engine is being rebuilt I asked the mechanic to do an
annual, since my 3-year center section AD is due in May. I called
today to see if he can get it done by the time my engine is done, and
he had already finished it. He said that the plane should be ready to
go in a couple of days after getting the engine.
I'm hoping that the engine will be completed in time for the Coupes,
Cubs, Chiefs and Champs flyin at Pioneer Airport. I'm still planning
on it!
