Hi all, Why do you have to jack your plane up to install the wheel pants? Actually the only time you will need to is for the nose wheel. then you push the tail down and weight it down.put on pant  let plane down  . Den---- I've had my pants on and off many times and it's relatively easy (the wheel pants) yes i've had mine off from time to time  too  boney knees   ds

I’m not a mechanical type.
 
The only two ways I know are these:
 
  1. Put a thick-walled pipe through the center of the knee of the landing gear and jack on that.
 
  1. Have someone crouch under the wing, under the main spar and then stand up, lifting the wing.  The other person then slides a saw horse topped with sandbags (or something) under the spar.
 
I’ve used both these methods.
