From what I’ve heard, too, Roy is right.  The FAA is encouraging shoulder harness installation.  Go ahead and submit the form and you should get approved right away.

 

(Note:  If some jerk turns you down, I’d call them on the phone and promise to write to every aviation publication and the FAA administrator charging that jerk with willful reckless endangerment.  I’ve got zero tolerance for people who block safety.)
