Thanks to everyone who sent an idea as to what the brown flakes might be from.
I am now in annual and removed the tanks, flushed them into a coffee filter and no brown flakes of any kind.
Go figure! Well, we will soon be reinstalling them and we will see if the flakes show up again.
I really hope not, cause with the price of fuel now, all the dripping from the drain cocks
is costing me. My hangar mate refers to the dripping as $.10, $.10, $.10 and if fuel keeps going up the dime drips could turn into quarters!!!!
