True enough, Ed. I've maintained that the technology is becoming within
reach that "soon we will see in the windscreen what we would see if it
was Day VFR."
However, the only way the price will come down is volume. And airplanes
do not generate it. GPS is the price it is because of boaters and
backpacker.

I'm inclined to agree with you that ADS-B is an excellent idea that'll
save the government a bunch of money in the long run.
The future is interesting - if we can afford it.
