I hope to crank up NC2273H in the next couple of days. Before I do, I
wanted to ask if anyone has an idea why my alternator is hooked up the way
it is?

Of course, I have the "Town's Aircraft Service"/Skyport O-200 STC. The
diagrams with the STC show a wire from the GND, BAT, and FLD going where
you'd expect... Engine mount for GND and the voltage regulator for the BAT
and FLD.

However, I see more wires connected that that. I have two wires going to
the alternator's ATS or STA (sorry, dyslexic -- heh). One goes who knows
where? (follows into firewall), while the other goes on to one of the
starter's mounting nuts... Which to me would be equivelent to ground?

Thanks all.
