Google is a good way to
search.
I used the
phrase:
ercoupe water site:ntsb.gov
and got this
one:
Note: using the keyword
"site:" limits the search to a domain.

Subject: [COUPERS-TECH] DITCHING
----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]----The write up by the U S Navy pilot who ditched his Coupe in Caribbean waters in 1952 was interesting and informative. Nevertheless, that was 54 years ago ! Surely, there have been additional Coupe "water landings" since then. Do any of you know how to search NTSB records for such mishaps? I tried to do so under "engine failure" and got a lot of (1) fuel starvation (2) maintenance error (3) pilot error, e.g., pulled mixture control instead of carb heat - but nothing specifically about dtching.
I think many of us would like to have more info on this subject.
