Subject: FAA Safety Program Site at http://faasafety.gov
Date: Mon, 22 May 2006 11:29:10 -0600
Dear Airman,
The FAA Aviation Safety Program is undergoing some changes. One of the first steps in this process is to have better communication with our customers in the aviation community. To do this we have created a new website at http://faasafety.gov. This site currently provides a searchable listing of aviation safety seminars and events nationwide. It will also send you e-mail notification of these seminars and additional aviation safety information depending on how you set your preferences.
Since you have recently provided the FAA with your email address, we are e-mailing you to let you know about our online services available at faasafety.gov.
An account has been created for you at faasafety.gov to maintain your preferences. We have assigned you a random password to access our system. Your new password is:
542956It is important for you to complete the registration process by logging into http://faasafety.gov. Upon login you will be asked to change your password to something you can remember and to set your preferences to those that will best suit your present aviation needs.
Customizing your preferences is the key to unlocking the power that faasafety.gov offers. Setting the type of e-mail notifications you will receive, what event information will appear on your login screen, and certificates and ratings you would like to get safety information on are just a few of the preference settings that you can set.
Remember you can change your preferences at any time, so we suggest that you try them all and adjust them over time to the settings that provide you with the safety information that will satisfy your aviation needs.
The process of customizing your preferences will only take a few moments and is very simple to do. We hope you enjoy the many benefits of faasafety.gov.
Our future plans for the site include:
- A searchable online aviation library
- Streaming video on aviation safety topics
- Interactive learning
- Automated administration of our Wings program
- Easy to find, customer based FAA information
Please use the comment feature on the site to let us know what you think of the site and to suggest additional features.
Thank you for visiting faasafety.gov,
Kevin L. Clover
